Bioponic Phytoceuticals Announces Curecumin(TM) May Lower Heart Failure Risk

KULA, Maui, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Bioponic Phytoceuticals, Inc. (OTC: BPYT - News; "Bioponic" or "theCurecumin Company") today announced that curcumin, the key ingredient in the Company's Curecumin(TM) product (a Bioresonant Phytotherapeutic® form of curcumin in a liquid delivery system) may be an important treatment for lowering heart failure risk. Bioponic currently sells Curecumin in a 1 oz. oral spray and a 1 oz. nasal pump spray bottle. Research findings and product information on Curecumin's many therapeutic qualities can be found at http://www.curecumin.com.

In a recent study entitled, "Curcumin prevents and reverses murine cardiac hypertrophy," published in the February 2008 edition of the Journal of Clinical Investigation, researchers found that when the herb was given orally to a variety of mouse models with enlarged hearts (hypertrophy), it can prevent and reverse hypertrophy, restore heart function and reduce scar formation.

"Whether you are young or old; male or female; the larger your heart is, the higher your risk is for developing heart attacks or heart failure in the future," explains Dr. Liu, a cardiologist in the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research - Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health. If clinical trials of curcumin support initial findings of heart enlargement prevention, it may offer hope for millions of patients with heart enlargement. Dr. Liu, who holds the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Polo Chair Professor in Medicine and Physiology at the University of Toronto, says that curcumin may be a safe and effective means of preventing heart failure in the future. This study was funded by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

"Curcumin has been the subject of extensive research over the past few years, and has been shown to protect the liver, inhibit tumors, reduce inflammation and prevent the formation of the amyloid beta plaques which cause Alzheimer's Disease. We are encouraged by yet another study that suggests the versatile curcumin may lower heart failure risk," said Steven M. Schorr, Chairman and CEO of Bioponic. "More than 5 million Americans are living with heart failure, and 550,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, according to the American Heart Association. The potential that our Curecumin(TM) product (http://www.curecumin.com) could provide a viable treatment strategy for those at risk for heart failure is very exciting. If proven effective, we may have an efficacious, cost effective, natural treatment for heart failure sufferers."

WomenEntrepreneur.com - Affordable Business Travel Gifts

http://womenentrepreneur.com/column/2206.html

FSEvery year at about this time, the great-gifts-for-travelers lists come out. And every year, I dream of being able to justify splurging on one or more of those items--the Bose noise-cancellation headphones, the cashmere blankie, the luscious leather satchel or maybe a year's worth of airport lounge access.

But I’m happy to say that it's still possible to treat yourself (and your traveling friends, colleagues and loved ones) to wonderful swag that’s actually affordable. Here are some of my favorites, all for less than $25:

Flight Spray. You may be taken aback if someone gives you nasal spray as a gift, but for road warriors who've experienced the unpleasant consequences of dehydration, it's actually quite thoughtful. The spray not only relieves symptoms but can also help prevent colds--and it soothes if you’re flying when you already have a cold or congestion. This spray is all-natural, made from turmeric root (an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal agent), spearmint (a natural antiseptic) and purified water. The 1-ounce spray bottle is small enough to pass TSA rules about onboard liquids. $14.85 from Magellans.com.

Organization (WHO), "The inappropriate use of anti-malarial drugs in
the past century contributed to widespread resistance in the malaria
parasite to drugs such as chloroquine, leading to rising rates of
sickness and death. Over the past decade, a new group of
        antimalarials-- known as artemisinin-based combination

Guineans get free malaria drugs

afrol News, 16 November -Afrol Logo

A new malaria treatment [Curemisinin] is being disseminated free-of-charge in clinics located in the Guinean capital Conakry, Bioponic Phytoceuticals announced.

Curemisinin (TM), an all-natural anti-malaria product that is based on three proven effective anti-malaria herbs: Artemesia, Turmeric and Cinchona Bark, is launched by Bioponic Phytoceuticals.

Bioponic is focused on the production of natural products that are used to promote health and well-being and its binary product comprises a nasal spray [Curemisinin A] with an oral spray [Curemisinin B] to treat malaria in the quickest, most effective manner.

The efficacy of Curemisinin will be recorded, and provide valuable data over the next several weeks on the product's ability to treat malaria in humans.

The Chairman and CEO of Bioponic, Steven Schorr said, "Curemisinin's use of a nasal delivery system allows the bioresonant liquid remedy to be delivered directly to the brain via the nasal membrane. This may have a significant impact on cerebral malaria, a condition primarily affecting children, who die within 24 to 7 hours without treatment.

Biponic not only hopes to stop the track of cerebral malaria, but potentially help bring down the cost of treatment and increase the efficacy of treatments for all types of malaria, especially resistant strains of the disease."

Caused by a blood parasite transmitted by mosquitoes, malaria has become the number one killer disease in sub-Saharan Africa. Every year, malaria kills more than a million people worldwide, majority of its victims being African children.

As evolving pathogens develop widespread resistance to over-prescribed antibiotics, anti-virals and antimalarial drugs, the use of natural medicines is being recommended for their proven efficacy in the treatment of vast malaria problem.
